Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by law enforcement.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.
The arrests follow an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.
A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and were later released.
Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were called at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - which police said was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
